Milano 23-24 Giugno 2011

Fortuna volle che quel venerdì 24 Giugno avessi il pomeriggio interamente libero. Guarda caso proprio dalle 14.00, orario perfetto per partecipare al discorso conclusivo del ConfSL 2011 (Conferenza Software Libero) affidato a Richard Stallman. Inoltre quale migliore occasione per avere modo di incontrarlo?

Ovviamente R. Stallman non ha bisogno di alcuna presentazione per chi sia un Debianizzato o comunque un utente del Free-Software. Spesso sui forum spesso è noto con l'acronimo RMS, ed è a volte ricordato per essere stato lo sviluppatore di Emacs. Ma soprattutto Richard Stallman è il Presidente della Free Software Foundation nonché il fondatore del progetto GNU (eh sì, Debian è proprio un sistema GNU/Linux, al pari di molti altri). Progetti che si fondano entrambi sul concetto di Software Libero, principi di cui lo stesso Stallman è stato pioniere e massimo sostenitore.

L'aula ovviamente era gremita siccome si trattava del discorso conclusivo della due giorni del ConfSL, o forse proprio perché stava proprio per parlare un personaggio del calibro di R. Stallman. Ho preso posto a sedere senza sapere bene cosa aspettarmi, siccome anche programma della giornata era vago in merito. E poi è arrivato lui.
